Participants
This program is intended for Benedictine women in temporary commitment who are considering or preparing for perpetual monastic profession. It is best experienced five to sixteen months prior to making perpetual profession.

Process
The monastic rhythm of this program integrates staff presentations, personal reflection, some manual labor, leisure, outings and a six-day discernment retreat to prepare for monastic profession.
Liturgy
Morning, evening and mid-day prayer will be celebrated daily either with the BSWR participants or the monastic community. There is daily Eucharist at the monastery. Participants will be invited to serve in ministerial roles at liturgies.
Location
Annunciation Monastery is located south of North Dakota’s capitol city of Bismarck adjacent to the campus of the University of Mary. Take exit # 160 off Interstate 94 to the University of Mary’s South Entrance. Flights can be made to Bismarck-Mandan airport which is about 10 minutes from the monastery..
Schedule
BSWR will begin with Eucharist at 5 pm on Tuesday, June 22, 2010. It will conclude with the evening banquet on Tuesday, July 13, 2010. Departure can be scheduled anytime on July 14.
Cost
$1,600 for the first participant
$1,500 for each additional participant from the same monastery

Staff
Director: Sister Agatha Muggli made first profession at Annunciation Monastery in Bismarck in 1963. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music from the College of St. Scholastica, Duluth and a master’s degree in Fundamental Catholic Spirituality from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. For over 20 years she has served in various formation roles including formation director, director of novices and director of first monastic profession. She is also involved in liturgy, primarily as organist.
Co-Director: Sister Magdalena Craig, a member of Sacred Heart Monastery, Cullman, Alabama, made first profession in June 1966. She serves as vocation director, initial formation director, liturgist and organist for her community. She received a Master of Arts in Liturgical Studies from the Catholic University of America.
Other Staff: A variety of Sisters of Annunciation Monastery will assist by offering presentations, serving as a retreat director and providing hospitality.
